There are no materially rich pastors within this community but we do take the responsibility of our giving very seriously!

We currently have one salaried member of ‘staff’ and a building to maintain, plus we give of our riches to others in need and various mission organisations as well.

Being a completely independent church, we have no other source of income other than by taking offerings and receiving donations, but as we have fostered a culture of generosity to God and each other, we have known immense blessing as a result.

But a spirit of generosity isn’t mainly related to money at all. We have probably all known those who are able and willing to ‘flash the cash’ but who are very stingy with their time.

Here at Emmanuel we are growing into a radically generous people who, ultimately, will be willing to give our very lives for each other.

When we have come to an understanding of all that Jesus has done for us, there is no price too great that we would not be willing to make.

As C. T. Studd once said,

“If Jesus Christ be God and died for me, then no sacrifice can be too great for me to make for Him.”
